Dr. Cheryl D'Costa, ND, BPHE

After successfully graduating from CCNM and completing her board certification examinations, Dr. Cheryl D'Costa, BPHE, ND,  was selected by CCNM & RSNC (The Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic) as one of three Naturopathic Doctors to fill a Naturopathic Clinical Residency Program.

Here she served as clinic faculty, teaching, training, educating and supervising naturopathic students through their first to fourth year clinical and academic internships at CCNM, RSNC, and various satellite clinics around the Greater Toronto Area. 

During this time, she also founded and launched Evolve Naturopathic Vitality Centre and began her own private practice. 

Subsequently also earning the designation of Naturopathic Physician, licensed to practice Naturopathic Medicine in the province of British Columbia in 2006.

Post Naturopathic Residency, Dr. Cheryl D’Costa, BPHE, ND,  served as a Senior Naturopathic Medical Advisor for a large international nutraceutical company for a 5 year term. Her training involved extensive continuing education programs and she studied with international leaders in the Naturopathic Medical Field.

Her responsibilities included providing medical expertise and guiding and instructing other health care practitioners in the safe and proper applications of the products, product monograph developments and product write-ups stemming from the eclectic records of the naturopathic founders, detailed medical technical support, and speaking engagements for international teleconferences on in-depth product trainings.

Dr. Cheryl D’Costa, BPHE, ND, continued her educational pursuits by training with leading European experts and highly respected traditional indigenous medicine elders from around the globe.  

She attained additional certifications in the following fields of alternative medicine:

Advanced Bowen Therapy, Biotherapeutic Drainage, Master Certification in Homeopathy for the Terrain~ A Miasmatic Approach, CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Reiki, Applied Kinesiology and Cosmetic Acupuncture. 

In 2013, Dr. Cheryl D'Costa, BPHE, ND, became a Registered Acupuncturist, R.Ac, from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners & Acupuncturists of Ontario. As of April 2021, she has decided to resign her R.Ac License in good standing.

 In addition to the clinical, theoretical and practical educational endeavors, she was initially drawn to the roots of our medicines and sought the source of healing wisdom from the indigenous elders who have passed their medicine bundles and teachings down through the generations. So, she traveled the globe and apprenticed and sat with many traditional indigenous elders from various countries and tribes learning the various healing techniques, ceremonies and approaches to traditional healings at the level of the spirit, and on the traditional healing methods of the grandmother plant teachers to gain greater insights into the healing powers of the plant kingdoms. With the objective of helping in her belief of the preservation of indigenous wisdom and traditional healing practices, Dr. Cheryl D’Costa, BPHE, ND, initiated and directed volunteer efforts as a Naturopath Without Borders at The Little Big Medicine Sundance on the Navajo Reservation, in Arizona for the past 13 years. Our philosophy there is that many small medicines from different nations come together to form one little big medicine...Little Big Medicine. Dr. D'Costa has trained and studied with many indigenous elders from around the globe in pursuit of this mission statement. 

 Dr. Cheryl D’Costa, BPHE, ND, founded Evolve Naturopathic Vitality Centre in 2003. 

Since its inception, her primary mandate has been to aid patients in uncovering and unblocking their inherent ability to find and achieve health, vitality and wellness.

ENVC’s results-based approach stems from the unique perspective of applying the principles of psycho-neuro-immunology which explores the connections linking the mind, body and spirit in achieving and sustaining health goals.
